Saturday 26 October 2-5pm in the Olive Bar at the Gregson Centre
Madzines are one means of challenging and contesting mainstream understandings about mental health. Jill will give a brief overview of the Madzines project and bring along the Madzines library, whiich there will be an opportunity to explore. The collection includes examples of perzines (personal zines, written by a single individual) and collaborative zines. It touches on a wide range of subject matter relating to experiences of madness and distress. Jill will also bring along zine making materials and there will be a chance to make zines for ourselves, and/or for lodging in the Gregson Centre Zine library. There will be a Madzines takeover of the zine library during the month of November and Jill will explain about that and some linked events.
